What are orthotics?
Orthotics are a form of therapy designed to improve human movement and reduce stress placed over vulnerable parts of the foot, ankle, knee and hip.
When are orthotics needed?
Orthotics are needed when pain is present in the foot, ankle, knees or hips and an assessment identifies an abnormality with foot function during movement.
Orthotics are also needed in conditions that lead to sensory & circulation loss of the foot, such as Diabetes, Circulatory disease, Spina Bifida, Charcot Marie Tooth and Nerve Damage.
